Khalil Mack: “Derek Carr is one of the best, if not the best.”

I’ve always loved Khalil Mack. I’ll never forget when he came into Ohio Stadium his senior year in college with University of Buffalo and stood out as the best player on the field. He dominated the Buckeyes that day in a losing effort; but to me I said ‘wow’.

He’s become a Lawrence Taylor type dominator on defense, a guy who I always thought Aldon Smith would be. I guess Taylor was a mix of the two; the wild horse qualities of Aldon Smith but the player skills of Mack. He will be an all-time great. And he’s got great things to say about his fellow cornerstone Derek Carr:

Getting better at everything,” Mack said, when asked what he has left to improve upon. “That’s why I’m out here at OTAs. Working with [Raiders offensive tackle] Donald Penn, working with all these great players out here, working against Derek — one of the best quarterbacks in the league, if not the best.”

I cannot wait to see these two suit up on opening weekend in September against the Titans to continue their quest towards a Super Bowl.
